Know Diabetes

My husband has a family history of diabetes on his maternal side. His uncle and his mother is suffering with diabetes, I remember her mother one time that she said during our dinner time, ' no I will not eat white rice and keep that juice away, I don't drink juice especially on night time'. When the morning came I ask her if she feels alright, she have this blood sugar count device and can monitor her blood sugar everyday and she told me that her blood sugar went up a little bit. I was so worried, I'm thinking what did I cook for dinner last night?.
I was so happy about this topic from RD.com - Managing Diabetes, its a big help for us especially I'm married to a person in line of diabetes, it give me a lot of information about diabetes. I also learn that even we don't have a diabetic bloodline we can be eligible for diabetes if we are overweight with extra weight around the middle. Now i realized I don't have to be lazy and need to exercise.
Thanks so much because you gave me a wonderful recipe that we can enjoy like the diabetes friendly soup and stew 'Winter Weight-Loss Soup' it healthy and yummy also the 'orange beef stir fry with broccoli and peppers. Now I can prepare RD.com - Diabetes Friendly Foods when my mother in-law came to visit us.
