I brought in my truck for service and they've told us to bring it in around 5pm and leave it there overnight. The husband will be following me on his truck, when I'm still reversing from our carport I kick off my sandals cause it's slippery and now I am driving "barefooted," I'm sure there's no violation for driving "barefooted."
I choose to go by the hi-way instead of the freeway, I find it easier since it's rush hour and the off ramp merge is so busy. I saw husband is still following me till the next town but then he was caught on the other lane and can't turn right away to my lane. He was caught again on the stop light and I lost him. I thought of pulling over and wait for him but he is old enough and I reach to my destination and park then called him. He said I left my "driving coach" behind hahaha. I show him my dirty feet and told him I drove barefooted and he was laughing his heart out and making fun of me. Bad husband LOL.

Anchovies

Krill
I am looking for a Filipino recipe which is "kare-kare" and landed on one, a Filipino recipe site and all authentic and well known Filipino dish are there, in fact they have almost all my favorite Filipino dishes. But here's my complain, I know you have to eat that dish with krill that you have cooked a little bit sweet. They write it this way "bagoong alamang (anchovies)" Bagoong alamang is permented or salted "krill" and anchovies are tiny fish. And what goes with that dish is and always "krill" not anchovies. lol I am ranting here, just want them do a little research first before they post it for the benefit of others who don't know. They call it shrimp fry buy it's krill not shrimp fry. (wondering if I really know what I'm talking about)

Pasta Time

Once in a while I cooked pasta dish, I have to choose the bigger pasta because hubby is not so into angel hair, spaghetti or orzo (orzo salad is good). So I go for Penne pasta with beef ragu, actually I saw this on foodnetwork channel but it's lamb ragu and we are not eating lamb lol. So I made beef ragu instead and without cheese because my other half is not so into cheese and our weekend visitor (his son) is not into cheese too, that means I'm the only person who loves cheese in this house and eats a lot of grilled cheese sandwich yum. Hubby said it's good and he loves it.

Beef Ragu Penne Pasta
Ingredients
1 lb rigatoni or Penne pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
2 shallots or onion chopped
1-1/2 lbs ground beef or lamb
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 cup red wine or cooking wine
4 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup mint leaves chopped
2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 cup ricotta cheese or Parmesan

Meanwhile in a large skillet warm the olive oil. Add the shallots and the garlic and cook until tender. Add the ground beef/lamb, salt and pepper, cook until the meat is browned and the juices have evaporated. Add the wine scrapping up the button of the pan using a wooden spoon. Simmer until the wine is reduced by half. Add the marinara sauce and 2 tsp of brown sugar, simmer over low heat until the flavor is blended about 10 minutes. Add the mint and cheese, serve hot.

Next month is mother's day and jewelry is the best gift idea for Mother's day. Reeds jeweler has it for you, since diamond is the birthstone for April, they are now having sale on beautiful diamond jewelries. So take the chance and shop a beautiful diamond piece for your dear mom.
I am still looking for the perfect piece for my mom and my dear mother-in-law. They are both special to us and they are both very nice ladies so they deserve something special from us.

I'm a doughnut junkie. Last week hubby told me that a lady approached him with fundraising item. He just gave money but did not take the item, yes hubby have a good heart lol.
Last Saturday we run errands and stop by the store, upon pulling out the parking he saw a man selling fundraiser goodies and he then said "that's the one I'm telling you, go grab one" I don't know what it is so I said no and he said "I wanna taste it." The man gave me a box and I place it on my lap cause hubby is the one driving, I look at the box and read "Krispy Kreme" and yelled on hubby. "husband you are insane how come you didn't bring me this last week? he was clueless what I'm talking about. I explained, this is what I am looking for a long time now "krispy kreme" it's well known as delicious doughnut and they don't have a store here in Honolulu, you only can find it at Maui which is on the other island.
I asked him if he want to have one one and he said it's good. I started eating one too and then another one and then said "husband I can't stop on eating this" and one again.
When we get home he ate his lunch, then ate the doughnuts and now he can't stop pigging on it too. He now believes me, that when you start on one krispy kreme you can't stop until it's all gone.
His son said he will never have one, but when I gave him one, he then keep sneaking on the box and ate 3 until his dad told him to stop. LOL we are pigs.

I honestly admit that I have a sweet tooth and that keeps me in trouble on losing weight. I need something that will help me decrease my appetite on sweets or on foods. I did tried many diet plans and nothing works on me. But I am still hoping that one day I can find the best and effective weight loss pill. I found liporexall reviews and was convinced and tried it. Good thing I have tried it because it is the right weight loss pill for me, it works.

Stiching Again

This one is a river cottage. I am back on cross stitching since the paid blogging died down a bit. I am happy because I now can find time on completing my project, suppose it will only took me less than 2 weeks to finish a 24x14" project, but this one took me 2 years to finish because I am very much occupied.
Three days ago I work back on it, if ever I got all the threads I need maybe I am almost done this time. But I still have to find the missing threads on the craft store if I have time, I am so excited to see the finish work. I am now looking for another nice pattern online to be my next project. Hmmm sounds like my hands can't keep still, might it be digital art making, cross stitching, crochet, and other stuff, I admit that I cannot contain myself, so if I have time I want to learn miss lyn's art "quilting." Right now I am waiting for my sewing machine that my husband have promised. Do I look like "I'm Busy as a BEE?"

Many small businesses these days are affected by the global economic crunch. To generate sales we have to be creative on advertising our business, one good way is to give promotional tote bags to your clients.
If you are about to open a new business this year it is also a good idea to give away promotional items on your first day of opening. Like last month there's a new store that opened near us and they gave tote bags to the customers that came on their opening which help them generate good sales.

Shrimp Adobo

I was dreaming of this dish for days now. I got fresh shrimp this morning and I cooked it for lunch. I'll will post the recipe, my own twisted recipe. LOL

Ingredients:
1 lbs fresh shrimp / shelled or not depending on you, pat dry with paper towel
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 soy sauce but reduce if shelled
1/2 stick butter
2 tbs cooking oil
3-5 gloves garlic minced
black pepper

Heat oil and butter at high heat on a wok or skillet, saute garlic for a minute, add the chili powder. Add in the shrimp, pour in the soy sauce and pepper. Make sure its on high heat and keep stirring until the sauce is reduced but not dry, it will only take for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and serve hot with rice.

The first thing I am checking when I woke up in the morning is my laptop. After my husband left for fishing I went back to bed for couple hours, when I get up I check something online then suddenly the screen of my lappy went dark. I can barely see the mouse pointer. I look for solution and checking for the power monitor display and so on. It made me real frustrated because I don't know what went wrong. I went to my desktop to look for solution and chat with a friend, he ask if I have warranty so I check it's box. Hmmm, I try calling the maker but they warn me that I am going to pay 48$, they are insane! I check online for possible problem, so it might be the "inverter" or "lcd backlight" I even check how to dismantle my laptop.
I turn off and on my lappy then after 2 minutes it went dark again. Turn off and on again, good thing the second time it was working good until now. I thought it's the "april's fool worm", but I really don't know why it went dark. I am happy now hope it wont give me a headache again anytime soon or in the future.

Sexy Present

My cousin invited me to her wedding shower next month. So I spent my time looking for a cute and sexy present for her, honestly I run out of ideas. I was browsing one magazine and landed to an interesting page. I search online for lace teddy; they are pretty cute and sexy. I order one for her and one for me. I address mine to my husband, I am sure he will get surprise when it arrive because he does not expect anything on the mail.
