Hawaiian POKE is made of raw tuna flavored with spices, some make it with cooked Tako (octopus), shrimp, raw crab and muscles. The flavors range from simple shoyu (soy sauce base), spicy kimchee, Hawaiian style and more. I'll always go for the simple authentic flavor which is Hawaiian style and shoyu, I don't really care for mayonnaise and too spicy which ruins the beautiful fish meat.
Thank you hubby for treating me lunch earlier at ONO Seafood located by Kapahulu, by far the best in town. I will definitely go back to this place and enjoy their Poke.

Fish Poke

My husband introduce me to "Poke Bowl" which mean rice and fresh fish, it sounds gross but it's really delicious. He always get it from Poke store where they usually put more rice than fish. I know where to get it cheaper and the ratio is even better which is just enough rice with more fish. He was amazed and it was so good that we went again today and I am thinking of having it again tomorrow. I couldn't get enough of this is fact while I'm posting this I'm drooling.
