Hawaiian POKE is made of raw tuna flavored with spices, some make it with cooked Tako (octopus), shrimp, raw crab and muscles. The flavors range from simple shoyu (soy sauce base), spicy kimchee, Hawaiian style and more. I'll always go for the simple authentic flavor which is Hawaiian style and shoyu, I don't really care for mayonnaise and too spicy which ruins the beautiful fish meat.
Thank you hubby for treating me lunch earlier at ONO Seafood located by Kapahulu, by far the best in town. I will definitely go back to this place and enjoy their Poke.
