Saimin is a famous noodle soup in Hawaii. This represent the multi culture here. During the late 18th century a large immigrants are recruited to work on pineapple fields. First came the Chinese followed by Japanese, Portuguese, Koreans, Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, and Samoans. Filipino are the largest scale of arrivals. They share what they have like Filipino's have an extra green onions, Hawaiian have an extra eggs, Korean have an extra bok choy and Japanese have an extra noodle and they all throw it in one pot and share.
