6). Keep garlic in a cool, dry place. If the temperature is too warm, the gloves will turn into gray powder and if the air is dump, the garlic will sprout.
7). If celery has become limp, revive it by wrapping in a absorbent kitchen paper adn let it stand in a jar of water.
8). Ripen avocados at room temperature. If ripe already keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.
9). Dried beans should always be kept in labeled jars in a dry place. They will keep for about 12 months.
But after that they tend to become tough, loose their flavor and take longer to cook. So throw away beans that are more than a year old.
