This depends entirely on the particular vegetables, and while onions and potatoes can be successfully stored for months, more tender vegetables, like mushrooms and tomatoes are best eaten as soon as possible.
the following are few basic rules and tips.
1). If possible, buy vegetables as you need them. If buying for a week plan your meals so that the more tender vegetables such zucchini and peas are eaten sooner rather than later.
2). Whenever storing vegetables removed them from plastic bag or plastic wrap.
3). Store vegetables in the salad drwer of the fridge and eat as soon as possible or with in 2-3 days.
4). Always store potatoes in dark, cool and dry place.
5). Dont store onions in the fridge as they will go soft. store in a cool, dry place, like a pantry or an outhouse.
